	My family and I are so grateful for the family, friends and community support and prayers during these 8 months of battling kidney cancer. I am so grateful for the great Doctors we have in this day and time, but even more importantly this has brought me closer to God, church and healing prayers. We believe that I will be healed and God has a plan for when and how that will take place. I must trust and believe. We pray for more research and cures for cancer!!!

	Buddy, You know we used to get in our car and go visit but there doesn't seem to be enough time in a day for that anymore; but we will check our e-mail. Today I found this wonderful plate that Patsy has purchased on your behalf. I just want you to know our prayers are with you daily and there is (no problem to big) that God can't handle! When the going gets tough, the tough get going. God sets our path and keeps us upward in it. If I'd ever had a brother, you'd been my pick. But on the other hand by chance God gave me the "Best" Brother-N-Law. We love you Buddy! (P.S.) God reminds me to pray for you at least two times a day when I see your truck at the Gizmo for lunch while I am out on my short downtown run with flowers. 	It is 6 am Houston time and Bud and I are up early, praising God and thanking him for all our blessings and the ability to be here - at MD Anderson Cancer Center. We anxiously await the arrival of our wonderful family members -- and that includes the Pastor of our church Pastor Larry Boone, 1st Assembly of God, Eustis. We met with Dr. Woods, the surgeon, yesterday and what assurance he gave us. We miss all our family in Florida and other parts of the US, but we know your prayers and thoughts are with us. It is sooooo great to have Bud's sisters, Patsy and Sandie, here with us -- supporting and encouraging Bud and I. We pray that the Good Lord will guide and direct Dr. Woods hands and mind to do what Dr. Wood assured us he would do -- "get it all 100% - and I am hard- headed and will stay with it until I do!". He said exactly what we wanted to hear!!! Thank you Jesus for this great place, these great Doctors and our great family and friends. Love to each of you! Shirley.
